Ohhhh Nooo

In Language Arts class, we’re making commercials for a product we invented in groups and I’m the group leader! … the only problem is, my group consists of two girls who spend more than half the time talking about their boyfriends and taking selfies, and one really short boy who threw a chair across the room today. O.o

One of the girls is actually really funny – she makes me laugh even though she just says what comes to mind, and that gets on my nerves sometimes. We were busy filming a scene when she’s talking, and BAM – the camera goes dark and a loud clang! sounds from across the room. Then you hear “Ohhh noooo….” from the girl and the video ends. It made me laugh so hard… once I finished getting onto the really short boy with a really big impulse. I know he’s kind of impulsive, and he was angry and hurt from these other boys who were making fun of him beforehand (one of them has been rude to me this year, as well), so I didn’t tell the teacher.

It hurt me that he was hurt, and especially irritated me that he felt the need to throw a chair and interrupt our filming. Not to mention the two other girls in my group spent the remaining time gabbing and talking to other girls who left their own group, and by the time I “got them under control” (Ha-ha…), my teacher told us the bell was about to ring. So we got no filming done, and it’s due next Tuesday. On top of that, CRCT’s are this week! (Just go ahead and add another heaping bag of potatoes on my back.)

My friend and I were venting to each other later today (he’s a group leader, too, and his group hasn’t achieved anything, either), and then I talked to my mom and now I’m writing a blog post. I still have some homework …

Also today the schedule was insane. I was in my first period class from 9:15 this morning to two this afternoon! Then the teachers and the principal managed to squeeze three more classes into the day – language arts, science, and chorus – before I came home, sat outside while my mom and sister threw a baseball around, talked my mouth dry, and collapsed on the couch with some leftover Easter chocolate. It feels like it ought to be Friday already.

But first we must get through today, and Thursday, and then… for me, more testing (my two worst subjects – science and social studies (well, geography in social studies is what gets me))

Until Saturday,

Emily
