My Happy Place

Ah… my happy place. I love to just close my eyes and imagine it, full of color and details and the prettiest weather and history and plantation homes all around me and books, journals, and the sharpest, most perfect pencils you’ll not find anywhere else! I see trees of red, oranges, and yellows, and yellow roses and butterflies and beautiful antique-ish wooden swings, big, prospering oak trees and a starbucks just down the road! (I had to add that one!) Oh, and Jane Austen is my next door neighbor!

Ha ha, just kidding! (But seriously, though, that would be awesome!) Maybe in heaven, though, God already has my Biltmore style mansion and library right next to Jane’s! Oh, that would be… positively amazing. I’d just walk right over and knock on her door and be like, “Hello, Miss Austen, would you care to come over for a cup of tea?” and she’d say, “Of course, dearest, Emily! Would you care to borrow a book from my after-library?” (The after-library. I can’t wait to read all the books Jane Austen might write after she dies. Too bad she only wrote six!) Now that is my heaven, not just my happy place!

I love Autumn, and hot tea, and Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte (the famous PSL, for short), which is why there would be one right down the street. And camp fires and chocolate and a library filled with a million bazillion books – books written just for me, so I wouldn’t have to search for a book I’d like. I’d just take one off the shelf, and read it, because the library is Emily’s Library,  I don’t have to worry about seeing if it’s the kind of book I’d like.

I love to go and visit my happy place now and again, because it makes me happy. 🙂

Where’s your happy place?
